Contemporary trends in tourism prioritize the shift to alternative practices that satisfy the needs of modern tourists. To this end, IMIC 2017 International Conference will present new tools and strategies on the evolving nature of modern tourism, aiming to capture the growing interest for a human-centric approach to tourism, one that addresses the quest for innovation, sophisticated user experience and engagement of all relevant stakeholders.
The International Conference "Tourism: Trends, Prospects and Implications for Enterprises and Destinations" will take place in Santorini, Greece on 19-21 October and is jointly organised by the Interdepartmental Graduate Program in "Tourism Planning, Management and Policy" & The Laboratory for Tourism Research & Studies (ETEM) of the University of the Aegean, Greece and IMIC series, a yearly conference on tourism hosted annually by "Heliotopos Conferences" since 2004. It constitutes the 5th Aegean University Tourism Conference and the 13th IMIC Conference.
Lastly, in the framework of Grow Greek Tourism Online, Google will host a seminar on the digital development of tourism.
