That was the theme of the annual Civitas Forum Conference which took place between 27 and 29 September in the city of Torres Vedras in Portugal. Hundreds of actors and mobility experts came together in a 3-days conference where through sessions, interactive workshops and new technologies presented methods on the development of urban mobility.
The small city of Torres Vedras is one of Portugalís leading examples on sustainable urban development, confirming this way the reason of hosting the conference.
DAFNI Network had three important reasons to attend the forum:
- MOTIVATE project: developing and implementing Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans, based on the use of social media and crowdsourcing techniques
- Presentation of the 1st Sustainable Island Mobility Plan (SIMP) in Europe.
- Presentation of the CIVINET CY-EL Initiative: A group of city network in Cyprus and Greece, interested in Sustainable Mobility
